Har Ki Dun is one of the best treks for snow seeker. Not only for snow sneaker in summer, but spring and monsoon also gives an ultimate feel for trekkers. It is situated in district Uttarkashi of Uttarakhand at the elevation of 3550 mtrs. And trek starts from a beautiful tiny village named Sankri. Sankri is 220 km far from state's capital Dehradun and well connected by all major destination of Garhwal, bus, taxi are easily available. When trek starts from Sankri the picturesque view of river Rupin starts with you. And at the distance of 14 km a beautiful destination arrived known as Taluka (1900 mtrs), (although connected by newly constructed road) trek goes ahead for Osla village at the distance of 13 km, the village near Rupin river and then last village of the trek known as Seema village. Now time to final destination it is hardly 12km from Osla. The view of Kalang, Swargarohini and Bandarpoonch peak welcomed you, maybe you spot Brahmakamal (state's flower and rarely found). Near Har Ki Dun there's a Morind lake and 4 km upwards a glacier named Jaundar Glacier, it's a little tough to get there but may be explored for few distance. Har Ki Dun is a trek of 50 km which fulfill all of your dreams of adventure and camping make it a memorable moment for the lifetime. One has the chance to see and know the lifestyle of the locals their food, flora, and fauna along with soul heal tranquil journey. Your dream to see snow may have come true if explore in winter.
