Auli – Gorson Bugyal
Auli
is located 12 km from Joshimath on the
Haridwar - Badrinath highway, a famous skiing destination which happens in
winter snowy and super lofty lush-green meadow during monsoon. Season enriched
here by tourist extremely. Every year thousands of tourists visit here come to
realize their dreams. In the east get mesmerized with sunrise from Nanda Devi
peak and in the north, you get a
wonderful view of peaks like sleeping beauty. Here 9 km away Gorson Bugyal,
which can be completed by trek, and makes your journey even more exciting.
There is also a cable car powered by GMVN, which provides an exciting
experience of the entire route from Joshimath to Auli. There are many
facilities available for stay in Joshimath. Here is the famous temple of Lord
Shri Narasimha Deity, where there is winter stay of Lord Badrinath. And this is
10 km from here, the meet point of Alaknanda river and Dhauliganga river, which
is known as Vishnu Prayag.
River
Alaknanda which originate from Mana valley and river Dhauliganga originate from
Neeti valley, making its meet point over here. You can also explore the route
from Joshimath to Malari, which is called
the Neeti Valley and it ends on India's China border. The famous local produce
like Rajmah (red kidney beans) and potatoes will surely change your

How to reach Auli?
The nearest airport to Auli is Jollygrant Dehradun, which is 248 km from the national capital Delhi. Near airport, it is Rishikesh (nearest railway station) where bus and taxis are available for Joshimath and it is only 238 km from Joshimath, which is to be completed in the day itself. Due to the mountainous route, you are not allowed to travel at night. So manage your itinerary accordingly.
Tungnath Chopta

Kedar Tungnath, the highest height in Panch - Kedar, is the main hall of Lord
Shiva situated at 3460 mtr, which is a 3
km walk from Chopta in Rudraprayag district. Along with the summer season, this
Dham attracts nature lovers in winter too. And from here, 2 km further Tungnath
Peak, known as Chandra Shila, is a delightful place from where often all the
high peaks of the Himalayas touch the heart. It is said that after Ravan's
bloodshed, Lord Rama had done penance here to be free from Brahmhatya (killing
of Brahmin). However, the Kapaat (main door) of Lord Tungnath opens
between May to October, but the tourist or the devotees can’t stop themselves
to explore the nature in winter as well as summer. The trek gives you
enchanting view along with Musk Deer, Monal and other
rare species of birds. The most important thing in this trek is to experience
Sunrise from Chandra Shila at morning. Sunrise of Chandra Shila makes your
experience totally unique and rare. There are also arrangements for staying
with basic amenities in Chopta. As an option Ukhimath may help very well,
almost all the arrangements are available here. The trek is quite comfortable
with light climbing, which gives unique pleasure to natural beauty. During winter you may face with snow in which the trek can be a little annoying but you become
a witness to snowfall after the weather gets down, which fills the aspiration

Tungnath Chopta can be reached directly from Delhi by bus. Services buses of Uttarakhand roadways are available at regular intervals for Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Haridwar, from where the Chopta can be reached by another service like a bus, taxi etc. The distance to Chopta from Haridwar is 184 km. Haridwar is easily accessible from other places, which is also a nearby railway station for Chopta. The nearest airport for is Jollygrant, which is 179 km from Chopta.
Brahmatal
Brahmatal is a frozen lake during winter which is located 8 km away from Lohajang in
Chamoli district. Lohajang is located 275 km from Haridwar and direct bus
and taxi are available from Haridwar (and Rishikesh). Staying and accommodation
available at Lahajung and Dewal. Snow lovers can enjoy snowfall over here.

Brahmatal

How to Reach Brahmatal?
For the Brahmatal, the nearest motorway is Lohajang and Lohajang is well connected by major destination. It is located in Chamoli district. Haridwar and Haldwani is the starting point to reach here, both cities are also the nearest railway station. The option of the nearest airport is Jollygrant and can be taken for air travel. The distance from Haridwar to Lohjung is 275 km and Haldwani is 220 km. While traveling from Delhi to Haldwani this distance is 528 km and with Haridwar it is 491 km.
Har Ki Dun
Har Ki Dun is a trek of 25 km which opens
throughout the year. It is situated in district Uttarkashi at an elevation of
3550 mtr. This trek is known for its amazing beauty and this will make
you feel like a paradise during winter. Gradual ascend and slope with the view
of wildlife and vegetation (flora and fauna) will take you closer to nature.
This trek is also ideal as beginners. Har Ki Dun trek starts from Sankari
village, which is located 431 km from Delhi and 186 km from the state capital
Dehradun. During this journey Dehradun, Mussoorie Purola gives you a great sight seeing including beautiful places like
Purola, Naugaon, Mori and Netwar. The new
road has been constructed from Sankari to Taluka village, which has reduced the
distance of the trek. Buses and cabs are available for Sankri from Dehradun and
Mussoorie, it would be best to get in the morning because the journey in the
night is forbidden because of the mountainous route. In the thick forest of the

How to Reach Har Ki Dun?
The
nearest motor accessible point is Sankri, although the newly constructed road has been built up to the Taluka village which
reduces the distance of the trek however
the distance of the trek is near 24 km. The
nearby railway station is Dehradun which is at a distance of 184 km from Sankri
and the nearby airport is Jollygant Dehradun. Direct services from Dehradun and
Mussoorie can be taken up to Sankari village through bus and taxi. Sankari is
431 km from Delhi. Accommodation and other services are avails at Sankri and Mori.
Nag Tibba
Nag
Tibba is an amazingly beautiful track of 8 km at an altitude of 3022 mtr, which starts from tiny village Pantwari. Pantwari
village is situated in a district Tehri. It is 90 km from Dehradun and 340 km

much and accessible throughout the year. This trek becomes snowy in winter and
gives an amazing view of snowed Himalayan range. The trek can be completed on
the same day if one starts at 5 o'clock

How to Reach Nag Tibba?
Dehradun
or Mussoorie is the main entrance to Nag Tibba which is 250 km from Delhi.
Buses and cabs can be taken from here to Pantwari (from where trek starts). The
nearby railway station and the airport is Dehradun. The help of guide porter
can also be taken which is also available at Mussoorie and Pantwari villages. Apart from the village of Pantwari there is another route for Nag Tibba
that passes through Devalsari but this trek is less
popular.
