Badrinath, the shrine
of Lord Vishnu, is the greatest dham of Hindus since the 7th century. Also the
gateway to mountaineering. Badrinath has
an average of 3109mtr approx. 10200ft.
Badrinath is the fourth and final dham (pilgrimage center) of Hindus. The first one is Jagannath Puri in east 2nd one is Rameshwaram in south 3rd one is Dwarka Puri in the west and the final Badrinath in the north.
The shrine is situated
in the middle of Nar And Narayan mountain and separate by river Alaknanda.
Shrine of LordBadrinath open every year near April last or may the first week and closed near
oct last or nov first week thus the shrine closed for 6 months. During closed
lord Badri prayers at Narsimha Temple, Joshimath. Open an closed process is
known as 'Kapaat' which means door.
Badrinath is always
known for its glorious beauty. Situated in district Chamoli of Uttarakhand.
Just 309 km from Dehradun, capital of Uttarakhand, and 521 km from Delhi.
